Administrator (LNHA)

The Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in a skilled nursing center is responsible for overseeing daily operations and management of the entire facility to ensure it is in compliance with all state and federal surveys requirements. Administrators are also responsible for census development, resident/patient care, positive employee relations, and implementing facility programs.

Education & Experience
Administrators must meet educational and/or experiential requirements to be a licensed administrator. Some administrator positions require an advanced degree in a related field. After submitting an application to the Georgia State Board of Nursing Home Administrators and completing a five hundred to two thousand hour Administrator-in-Training (AIT) in a skilled nursing center, an AIT must then pass the licensing exam.

Salary Average
$112,000 per year

Licensed Nursing Home Administrators (LNHA) must obtain at least 40 hours of continuing education during each two year licensing period.
